Modern Studies

Modern Studies is a departure from solely product coverage on the website and its aim is to promote the many contributors that we have worked over the years with and continue work with to this day.

The fields of film making,Photography,sound and visual art will be represented in this new venture as and when our collaborators present new work in their particular fields.

So we hope you like this venture into a more fluid and magazine like aspect to the Six Eight Seven Six website.

First part of our collaboration with Clarks Originals features a Six Eight Seven Six interpretation of the classic Desert boot which celebrates its 65 year and the Desert Trek which was a shoe worn at the inception of the 6876 journey.

6876 x Clarks Originals Film

 

The dérive is the first step toward an urban praxis, a stroll through the city to understand the ‘psychogeographical articulation of the modern city’.

A project to mark the release of our project with Clarks Originals which brought together the Film making of Brian Sweeney and the thoughts of Scott King.

Filmed on location at the Camley Street Nature reserve in London’s Kings Cross.

The Fournesss x 6876 Petrel Track jacket

 

The Fourness x 6876.

The Petrel jacket circa 2013 was originally designed as a jersey garment so its really satisfying to have it produced expertly in bonded cotton by The Fourness in Japan.

The jacket features modernist pocket styling,lower gusset armhole,curved back hem,stud fastenings with rib collar and cuffs.

100% bonded cotton.

Black project #6 Veras Brigada

Collaboration with long-standing 6876 ambassador Neil Morris of Veras.

Manufactured in Spain with specific last for the style and moccasin construction.
Materials are Rodeo natural skin leather, lined with pigskin and EVA high resistance sole with salpa welting adjusted to the style.

Most procedures are made by hand including a sewn vamp, sole attachment, lasting and moulding.

 

 

Sonora #4

The first 20th Anniversary product is an updated version of the Sonora jacket first launched in 2007 and subsequently produced with Rohan and Cash Ca.

Manufactured in 200 gram L24 Ventile that has a 750 mm resistance to water hydrostatic head. Taped seamed with 2 way centre front zip.The Typical vapour permability of Ventile is 93-98%

Ykk reverse coil type zip used throughout and manufactured in Portugal.
